A stunning video by professional photographer John Austin showing images of the fight to try and save our forest in Western Australia from the devastation of modern intensive logging. Photos range from 1994 to 2013.
Chester was a wicked party camp ... All prepared to defend biodiversity!
Cops read him his rights and Roger beat the charges and received costs from police...a good result
Just b4 he address's a mining conference to tell em how he kicked our arse... Chris from the Biotic Baking Brigade strikes!
Dressed as priests and nuns we did a blessing on the new Bunbury Cathedral.
This is one of the great ones....
Activists dressed as preists and nuns carry out a creative action at the base of the still under construction Bunbury Catholic Cathedral in the Bunbury CBD at the end of Victoria Street. Two of the activists dressed as priests, climbed the scaffolding to hang a banner off the top of the cathedral tower, before the spire was in place. The banner read 'Forgive Simcoa for they know not what they do'. Simcoa is a silicon producer operating near Bunbury and is owned by japanese company Shin-Etsu. Unfortunately, Simcoa refuses to stop burning Jarrah wood that is logged from local native forest. They could burn bluegum wood sourced from plantations but they refuse to do so. A bit about the camp at Chester forest, near Karridale, in 2009.
Two activists lock-on to a logging machine in the Diamond 2 logging coupe near Pemberton.
The lock on lasted around 10 hours, an absolutely sterling effort by the both of them! Thanks to John Vukovich for this short film. You can see more of John's films here on Youtube - http://www.youtube.com/user/johnvuke#g/u
